What are the risks of not cleaning and validating my email lists?
As time passes, email addresses become invalid, emails bounce back, and non-responders pile up. If you're not careful, ISPs may see this as harmful and flag you as a spammer. A low quality email list is harmful, if left unchecked, the result can be disastrous and reflect negatively on your brand and business.
We're considering using your service but we're concerned about the confidentiality of our lists.
Unlike other services, at ListAudits, Email Cleaning and Validation is all we do. We are not an ESP (Email Service Provider) and do not do email marketing, email list management, nor are we in the business of buying/selling email lists. Your continued business is extremely important to us and your email lists are strictly confidential and are not shared. We've been offering list-related services since 2001. During this time, we have been entrusted with over 5,000,000 subscribers or more on a monthly basis, never mind the hundreds of thousands of smaller lists so far. We have probably already been exposed to at least 75% of the addresses on your list through one of our other clients. Many Fortune 1000 companies use our Cleaning and Validation Services. Our reputation in the industry and your continued business as a client is so much more valuable than what any single list could be worth to us. We would be more than happy to sign and return a nondisclosure agreement. If you would like a non disclosure agreement signed, please email it to email@example.com, with a return fax number or simply mention this when placing your order in the question box and we'll have you email us the agreement to sign and fax back.
What format do we need to provide our data in?
We require data to be in plain text, .csv, tab delimited or Excel spreadsheet/worksheet format. Then when you place the Order Online you will have the ability to upload your list. If the list is too big you can also zip the file and send to us when ordering online or sending to the email address we provide you with after your payment has been made. If your file exceeds 20 MB in size, you can split the files up and email them or please let us know and we will setup a protected FTP area on our server/site for you. Let us know your preferred method when you are placing your order. If you prefer, you can also burn your data to a CD and send it to us by overnight courier. Again, let us know if you prefer doing this when placing your order.
Are you able to clean and Validate Yahoo, AOL, Hotmail/MSN, etc...?
Yes. We Clean and Validate from all ESPs. We have validation processes in place for all ESP types and can Validate emails from all ESP's
Why dont you show list of reference companies on your website?
From our experience big companies and even small do not want to be known as Email Marketers, we keep our clients identity as private as we do the information they share with us. You should seriously question any service that puts up the logos of companies they claim they do email list cleaning for or anything that has to do with email marketing for that matter. If you would like some references please email us or give us a call.
What is the process of Email list cleaning and Validation?
Please review our Services page for this information, Click Here
What Are Spam Bots?
These are email addresses and domains that monitor for non optin emails and blacklist your sending ip's with most major ESP's.
What is Spamhaus.org, Spamcop, DNSBL, SORBS, etc.?
These are the major anti-spam sevices with spam traps that cause instant blacklists with most ESP's. We prevent these listings by removing any known emails from your lists that are known to cause these blocks.
Do you handle email addresses such as info@, webmaster@, support@ etc...?
Yes we do.
How and Where do you store our list?
Your list is kept on our local only san and is removed from our sftp, website, or email as soon as we download the list. All lists are permanently deleted from our systems after 30 days for security purposes..
What will you provide us after cleaning our lists?
You will receive one list with all the valid only emails and one list with all the invalid emails per order placed. Both lists are txt formatted. If you select our matching service, you will receive one excel formatted file. This excel file will contain all your original data with valid emails highlighted in green and will be on the top and all invalid emails highlighted in red and will be on the bottom.
How do you do your verification?
We follow a multi-step process. First, we will conduct a random check of a small portion of your list. This is to estimate the number of undeliverable addresses. We then compare your file against known undeliverable addresses. Next, we will check the domains on your list to see which are no longer in operation or not likely to be deliverable. We then confirm formatting/syntax of emails. From the addresses that remain, we will follow a process comparable to sending an actual email: we will first attempt to reach a host server. If we are able to do so, then we check to see if the user's email address exists and is able to accept email. We do not send an actual email to the recipient server. We create a log file of all of the connections/failures and from all of these steps we manually prepare your report.
Do you offer a free trial?
Yes, because our prices are so low already, we offer a free trial for email lists larger then 100,000 emails. If you have a list larger then 100,000 emails and would like a free trial to test this service out, please send a sample email list of up to 500 emails to firstname.lastname@example.org with 'Free Trial' in subject line.
How accurate is your service?
We strive for as close to 100% accuracy as we can achieve. Many email users now require verification before email can get through, email accounts are abandoned and not terminated, email accounts become full and their servers do not return appropriate messages, some email servers will give false positives (meaning they say an account exists when it does not), we also estimate anywhere between 3 and 20% of confirmed addresses no longer exist because of employees leaving companies (where their email returns an autoresponder or is forwarded to another employee). That being said, for most lists, we reach on average 96% accuracy.
How long does it usually take to clean a list?
For lists less then 100,000 emails it usually takes 24 hours - 48 hours depending on the queue. It is usually 24 hours per 100,000 emails. Please allow an extra 24 hours if matching service was selected. To get status on your list cleaning by emailing us at email@example.com or give us a toll free phone call 888-658-5717.
We track bounces on our own, but haven't been purging them from our lists in case they were false bounce reports. Should we send you our full list or only the bounces to have cleaned?
It's a good idea to have both those bouncing and those not bouncing returned since not all ISPs will return bounces if they have blocked your sending server. (ie they will simply drop the email) One of the reasons ISPs and organizations block sending servers is because of seeing a high number of undeliverables come from a single source. Cleaning your list might mean that you are able to get through to more of your subscribers. Consequently, it's a good idea to check all addresses on your list and not just the ones you are getting bounce notices back on.
Do you sign Non Disclosure Agreements?
If you would like a non disclosure agreement signed, please email it to: firstname.lastname@example.org, with a return fax number, or return email address.
What if the results still have bounces?
We work with every client to reach as close to 100% accuracy as possible, If you have issues with the results. We will rerun the reported bounces and revalidate to provide you the specifics and logs why the emails in question were valid or invalid.Still have questions or ready to place an order?
